1.50 Moyassar 13-2 ( If you did have Qabala as your first bet today in the Nell Gwyn then you have a free bet same stakes in that race on @bet365. It’s a trappy race so if you don’t have a free bet go easy and look out for bookies paying 4 places )
3.00 Brando 6-4 ( His form at Newmarket is 1-1-3-1-2 and he has an even better record when he makes his seasonal debut 1-1-1-1)
3.35 Zakouski 9-4 – Masar won this last year and Charlie Appleby has another potentially good horse in Zakouski. He has been the subject of good reports in last few weeks and has been working well with the likes of Auxerre the Lincoln winner. The form horse though is Royal Marine who won the Group 1 Jean Luc Lagadere at Longchamp last October. The second that day Broome has since franked the form by winning the Ballysax at Leopardstown. We did back Royal Marine at Meydan but his run that day can be forgiven as he didn’t like the dirt surface and Super Soumi took care of him. I have always favoured form over hype but I did back Zakouski 2 days ago ante post so I will stick with him.
4.10 Ojooba 11-4
Cheltenham – 2.40 Wenyerreadyfreddie 5-1 – Don’t normally bet at Cheltenham in April but this one could be well handicapped and comes here as a fresher horse than most. We can forgive him his bad run on bad ground at Doncaster last December but judged him based on his form when he won at Ascot where did beat Kildisart ( 4th in the JLT and winner at Aintree) & also the likes of Caid Du Lin and Peppay Le Pugh previously. The return to a left handed track and the quicker ground might suit him. The danger could be Highway One O One who didn’t like softer conditions last March at the festival
Lucky 15 – 2.40 Wenyerreadyfreddie 5-1 , 3.00 Brando 6-4 , 3.35 Zakouski 9-4 , 4.10 Ojooba 11-4
* Looks trappy tomorrow so don’t go mad with stakes. Don’t give away all your winnings since we have some good races at Lingfield on Friday. Good luck
