Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 2018

Hello lovely people,

It’s my annual end of year message and that means Xmas isn’t too far away. I just want to wish you all a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year 2018. We did survive another year and it’s time to enjoy the festive period with closed ones. Hopefully this New Year will bring us lots of good health, happiness and success.

A massive thank you to each and everyone who has contributed in some way or another to a successful year. There are too many names to mention but you know who you are. Racing is a game of opinions and I have enjoyed the various interactions with a lot of you via DM’s ,emails or messages.  The various insights or analysis of races from different angles do really help you improve.  Thanks also for the support on a daily basis whether we have good or bad days. We don’t win daily but we do give it our best shot whenever we are betting. We share our bets and at the end of the day it’s up to the individual to follow us or not. The more brains the easier for us to bash those silly bookies. Also thanks to everyone who do retweet my posts etc and read them. This blog has now hit 3 million hits in less than 4 years. Good to see people still keeping the faith 🙂

There are a few leaders in the team who are more vocal than others but there are also a few who work tirelessly behind the scenes to provide us with the necessary platform to work efficiently. Constructive criticism has always been welcomed. Don’t become obsessed with betting. Always regard gambling as some kind of entertainment but don’t believe you will become a millionaire in one day.  It takes a few years to build a nice betting bank and to understand bankroll management. Once you master those things then everything becomes easier as long as you are selective with your betting.

Never chase any losses as well as this can lead to even bigger losses and never gamble when you are upset or depressed. Decision making can be even harder when you are stressed or emotionally upset. Only gamble when you are happy and stress free. It’s nice to take a break as well if you are going through a bad spell. Most of my followers know those things anyway but just the usual reminder.

A final thank you to few people who helped the charities that are close to my heart. Also those who sent out free tickets or few whisky bottles recently. It’s very much appreciated. We hit 2 out of 3 big targets this year namely Cheltenham and Royal Ascot. It’s a shame we didn’t fire at Del Mar for Breeders Cup (blame the track ) but we will be back there next year when it’s held at Churchill Downs. We did fire straight over over the jumps since that slight mishap though with some nice bookie bashing nearly every Saturday since.

I will get a blog up on the 25th in the evening once I have my money down on horses running on Boxing Day. We need to be very selective over the festive period and target only the good races that matter. Always do singles and don’t rely too much on accas or multiples. Also do try place markets ( very profitable over time if you are patient) or w/o markets if you don’t like betting short priced favorites etc .These are great ways to build your betting bank or rebuild your confidence if you are going through a bad patch.

Enjoy the holiday season and remember to gamble responsibly & drink with moderation 🙂  Best of luck everyone over the next few days.
